Welcome!
Liliana Castillo, MS, APCC
Hi! My name is Liliana Castillo and I’m an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) who’s passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming therapeutic space where individuals feel empowered to be their authentic selves. My approach is grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and a commitment to fostering healing through understanding and support. Whether you're navigating trauma, stress, and identity, I’m here to help and support you!
A little bit about me: I earned my bachelor’s in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara and my master’s in Counseling Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. With over four years of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, teens, adults, and families across a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds
My clinical work is trauma-informed and guided by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), always tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. I specialize in supporting those who are navigating trauma, interpersonal violence, life transitions, identity exploration, peer-conflict, school issues, and emotional regulation. I’m especially passionate about supporting folks from underrepresented communities and those who are just dipping their toes into the therapy world.
Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and gently goal-oriented. I believe therapy can be both a place of deep work and personal growth, as well as a space for compassion, validation, and sometimes even a touch of humor. My aim is to support you as you navigate your experiences, cultivate resilience, and work toward lasting, positive change.
