Samantha Veil, MA, AMFT, APCC
My name is Samantha and I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, as well as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of California Davis and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I am a proud member of both Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology and The California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
For several years, I counseled a diverse clientele at established community mental health centers within the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. I also worked with neurotypically diverse children as an applied behavioral analysis therapist. I am a trauma-informed therapist and I also specialize in working with survivors of narcissistic abuse. My therapy practice is integrative as I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), family systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness therapy. I am experienced in addressing concerns regarding depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, neurodiversity, addiction, mood disturbances, personality disorders, and partner relational problems. In my couples and family therapy practice, I have the privilege of working with partners in age-gap relationships, interracial relationships, and LGBTQ+ relationships.
My aim is to empower you as I walk beside you on your life’s journey. I provide a space where you can freely express yourself while feeling seen, heard, and understood. You and I will collaborate in enhancing your self-awareness, while also developing more effective coping strategies for you to apply in daily life. If you present your relationship concerns to me, I will work with you and your loved ones on creating more secure attachments that embody effective communication, mutual respect, and trust. I look forward to meeting you.
